About Asian FFS
We built Asian FFS because CargoWise is big. It has a huge range of features, many of which a freight forwarder never touches, and it charges for every shipment and transaction you create. So we made something smaller. It covers the parts of the job a forwarder and customs broker actually does, keeps the accounts in the same system, and costs the same however many shipments you run. It is now used by freight forwarders in Australia, the United Arab Emirates and New Zealand, and it is coming soon for India.
The first version was a FileMaker system. We rebuilt it as a web application and kept the things people liked about the original: the list of records down one side with the open record beside it, documents printed straight from the record, and one set of data shared by operations and accounts.
Where the simplicity comes from
We looked at which steps a sea freight forwarder takes every day and which menus nobody opens. Asian FFS keeps the first group and leaves the rest out. The bill of lading terms, the BAS worksheet, the apportionment rules and the matching of bank lines to invoice numbers are built the way a forwarder's accounts team works. Every screen has been used on real consolidations, real supplier bills and real bank statements.
Who builds it
We develop and support Asian FFS ourselves. We build and run business applications for small and mid-sized companies in freight, publishing, rental and field services. The people who write the code also host it and answer the support mail.
How we work with you
- You see a demo on your own shipments before anything is signed.
- We migrate your parties, items, tariffs and open invoices as part of onboarding. It is charged on Starter and Growth, depending on your current system and data, and included on Enterprise.
- You run in parallel on live consolidations before you switch over.
- The people who wrote the documents, reports and workflows are the ones who change them. Any other system you rely on can be connected.
